The interior of a working harbour chandlery with rope, floats and oilskins

Endeavour Wharf, Whitby · Storr family since 1962

Gear that comes back
in off the North Sea.

Potters, trawlers, pilot boats and the marina pontoon, served off the same counter. If it will not survive a February trip off Whitby High Light, we do not put it on the shelf.

What the fleet is buying

Why buy here

The shop keeps the fleet's hours, not the high street's

01

We open at half six

Six mornings a week, before the tide. Most of those hours sell a bottle of hydraulic oil and a bacon roll's worth of takings, and we open anyway, because a boat that misses the tide has lost the day.

02

Pots rigged on the counter

Bring the eye you want and we will bridle, weight and rope a pot to it while you wait, at no charge. It takes twenty minutes a pot and we do not put it on the bill.

03

Every oilskin size on the rail

S to XXXL in stock all year, including the sizes that sit until October. Holding them ties up money for months, but a skipper who is soaked on Tuesday will not wait a week for a smock.

04

We will say the old one is fine

If your hauler needs a seal kit rather than a new hauler, that is what we will tell you, and we will sell you the seal kit. It costs us the sale and keeps you coming back.

“Went in for a new hauler after ours started weeping. Ian took one look, said it was the shaft seal, sold me an eleven pound kit and showed me how to fit it on the quay. We were hauling again by the afternoon tide.”

About this page

Everything above is a demonstration

The business, the listings and the reviews are invented — this page exists to show what someone could put on marinechandler.co.uk. The domain itself is genuinely for sale.

Domain for sale

marinechandler.co.uk is available

You are looking at a demonstration, not a real business. We built it to show what this domain could carry — the company, the stock and the reviews are invented.

  1. 1

    Make an enquiry

Tell us who you are and what you would use it for. It costs nothing and puts you under no obligation.

  2. 2

    Agree a price

We reply with a price or consider your offer. Most conversations are settled within a couple of working days.

  3. 3

    Pay into escrow

Funds go to a licensed third-party escrow agent, never straight to us. They hold the money until the transfer is confirmed.

  4. 4

    Take ownership

We push the authorisation code to your registrar. You control the domain, usually within a week; escrow then releases the funds.

The demonstration site is not part of the sale by default — but if you want it, say so in your enquiry and we will include the source.
